I was about to dispute Anime News Network for saying both had been removed from Crunchyroll since I performed a search for Digimon Tamers on Hulu on just Tuesday, and they were still on their then. Lots of little things need to be done to make it a better experience. And while they sub the episode, they haven't subbed the next time preview. Now I realize the original is evolve, but Toei, who did the subs on Crunchyroll, has said that Digivolve is the official use in the US, and that's why they listed it as such on their subs. I hate how they have the sub say to instead of Digivolve to or Evolve to. Heck, they list Greymon as Gray-mon everytime. They have a -mon on all the names instead of just saying Greymon, Garurumon, etc. I also have to say they clearly aren't official subs.

They need to be about a 6 instead of a 4, and they need to be a different color. The yellow font blends in with the brighter colors making it hard to read unless you are right next to the screen. I'm glad they are available, but they are done in a small yellow font. I have to say I'm hating the subs on Netflix.

All in all, this is definitely watchable (if you can read the subtitles), but a series as good as this deserves better. On top of all that, who thought that small, dark yellow subtitles were a good idea? Is it like that for all of Netflix's shows? I could barely read everything. The next episode preview plays at the end of the episode, but it's unsubbed. For those of you who care, the Japanese opening/ending themes are intact, but the eyecatches have been removed. The video was really subpar, at least on my TV. The weirdest thing was that during the entire episode, the subs refer to Kuwagamon as "Scissors." "Look out! It's Scissors!" For some reason, whenever a character says his or her last name, it's always in ALL CAPS. It certainly doesn't do the script any justice. The episode's title is completely changed, and the translations are really simplified, sometimes leaving out important information. The translation itself isn't even all that great. There weren't too many typos, but it's very obvious that whoever translated this doesn't have much of a grasp of the English language. The subtitles are really, really Engrish-y. Any excitement I had from this news has pretty much completely faded. I just pulled up Netflix and watched the first episode.
